Vodafone Announces Additional 4G Service For Scilly

tv mastVodafone has announced that their customers will finally be able to access 3G and 4G network services in Scilly.

It follows the launch of the islands’ first 4G service by EE in April this year.

Up until now, Vodafone users have only been able to use the slower 2G technology.

Kye Prigg, Head of Mobile Networks for Vodafone UK, says rural and remote locations often miss out on advantages provided by modern communication tools, due to the complexity of delivering network coverage.

He added that it’s, “great news the Isles of Scilly is now benefiting from our best network ever.

“We hope our customers who live on the island, or those who are just visiting, enjoy great coverage wherever they go across the islands.”
