Extra Date For Theatre Club’s New Play

in-the-Pink-shot
There’s an extra performance tomorrow (Tuesday 5th July) of St Mary’s Theatre Club’s new production In The Pink.

The play is set during WW1 and has been written by club members. The storyline features real stories, letters and photographs from islanders.

More dates are planned for July, August and September and the club hopes to put on a special performance in November, around Armistice Day.

There’s limited seating as the production is being set in the round in the Town Hall and not on the stage.

A charity collection will be held during the performance.

We have 2 performances in July which are booked…27th & 28th July 8pm in the Town Hall. Doors open 7.30pm with limited seating. There is a retiring collection.
Our preferred performance dates for later productions are Tuesday & Wednesday 23rd & 24th August and Wednesday & Thursday 7th & 8th Sept. However, Aug & Sept performances are dependent on what members of the cast, including the orchestra have planned..they have their own events, and also we are likely to be short of a few actors as a number of the group are sadly leaving the islands.

Don’t know the dates, but I’m sure Tourist Information Centre (01720 424031) would know. Well worth it if the dates tie in with your holiday

Do you know when the extra.dates will be? We are visiting in late August – early September and like to see a performance if possible.
