Your Chance To Take A Look At Some Of Scilly’s Hidden Gardens

garden 2Have you ever fancied taking a closer look at some of the lovely gardens you’ve glimpsed over the wall in Scilly? Well now’s your chance as the islands’ Inner Wheel Club is organising an Open Gardens Day on Monday 4th July.

Five gardens in the Holy Vale, Maypole and Pelistry area will be open to the public from 11am to 5pm.

Tickets are £6 and are on sale now at the TIC and in the gardens on the day.

Homemade cakes and cream teas will also be available at the Holy Vale Vineyard & Winery from 11.30am to 4.30pm.

Linda Roberts from the Inner Wheel says the generosity of locals and visitors attending previous open garden events has raised £4,705 for various charities over the last three years.

This year all proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Thank you to all the visitors and locals who came along to see the gardens and to enjoy a cream tea. £1,050 was raised for the Alzheimer’s Society. We are very grateful to the owners for allowing their lovely gardens to be used for this event and to the Winery for providing an excellent venue for the refreshments.
