Flood Warning Issued For Scilly for Boxing Day And Sunday
The Council has announced a flood warning in connection with the high water time on St. Mary’s, at the weekend. On Saturday morning the high water is at 5am with a total water level of 5.91m which includes a surge of 0.11m. There’s a SSW Force 7 wind forecast.
The time of high water on Sunday is 5.45am with a water level of 5.8m. Winds are SSW and Force 6 with offshore wave heights of up to 3.5m.
The Council say that gale force winds and large waves may lead to spray overtopping. If you need advice, help or have concerns you can contact the Council on Christmas Eve before 12noon on 424000.
