Another Norfolk-based photographer has won the annual Islands’ Partnership photography competition.

Megan Gallacher is a final year A-level student studying photography at Thetford Grammar School.

Her picture called ‘Tropical Oasis’ is an image of St Martin’s taken from on board a Skybus flight.

It received 516 votes on the Visitislesofscilly.com website.

Last year Steven Burbidge from Aylsham, also in the eastern county, claimed the first prize for his picture of a puffin.

Megan wins a B&B stay and two return Scillonian tickets.

She says that she has visited the islands every year since she was 6 years old with her twin brother, parents and grandparents. And her family have been coming since 1975.

David Jackson of the Islands’ Partnership says that the competition creates a lot of excitement and enthusiasm from our visitors. And he says it helps the Partnership to augment their growing photographic library.
