Tresco Worker Josh’s Body Has Been Formally Identified

Devon And Cornwall Police have confirmed that the body of missing Tresco Estate worker, Josh Clayton, has now been formally identified.

The 23-year-old Taunton man went missing following a night out on the island in the early hours of Sunday 13th September.

Islanders and emergency services joined forces in launching the largest search for a missing person in Scilly in recent memory.

On September 24th a body was retrieved by St Mary’s Lifeboat after the crew of a French yacht reported seeing a person on the rocks near Round Island.

Devon and Cornwall Police say that Josh’s family is aware of the sad news and a file is now being prepared for the Coroner.
