St Mary’s Harbour Works Update From Kier- October 1st

Quay Extension:

Concreting to continue throughout the rest of the week to complete tie-in pours and concrete infill to berthing line.

All fendering now delivered to Falmouth, transfer to IOS on-going.

Quay Widening:

Package Pump Station – complete and being vested with the supplier.

Solidification plant expected from Falmouth this week, with works set to commence 1 October and last 10-14 days.

13no pre cast wall units remain to be brought over from Falmouth.

Harbourside building:

Ticket Office – handover by the end of this week.

Freight Store – 5 of 6 new columns installed, 6th to follow by the end of this week.

Freight Office – final 2nd fix carpentry.

Balcony – Steelwork installation has commenced and is due to be completed by the end of the weekend.

Chiller – Roofing membrane to be installed. Cold store ducting and doors in progress followed by commissioning.

Parting Carn:

Batching concrete for quay extension and freight store foundations.

Receipt of Quay Widening blocks.

Porthloo:

Bag filling for delivery to Parting Carn or direct to the quay continues.

The second phase or final removal remains on target weather permitting for mid October 2015.
