Scilly Has Safest Roads In The Country
Data released by the Department of Transport show that there were just three injuries related to traffic accidents in the islands in 2014.
Figures are given as the number per million population, which is calculated as 1,363 casualties per million for Scilly.
The next least dangerous location was Wigan with 1,396 casualties per million, then Stockport (1,412), Solihull (1,810) and Gloucestershire (1,911).
The most dangerous areas was Westminster with 7,823 casualties per million.
Overall in the UK, there were 45% fewer fatalities on the roads in 2014 than a decade ago.
