New Dentist Interviews Taking Place Today
Interviews for a new dentist for Scilly are being held today. And the company that runs dental services on the islands says that there won’t be any problems obtaining appointments when the current dentist Dr Bob Seddon retires in a few weeks time.
Some residents have told Radio Scilly that they haven’t been able to book treatment and check ups from mid September.
But a spokesperson for PCH Dental told us that this isn’t the case and patients will be able to obtain treatment in the normal way by ringing the surgery.
They said a full-time locum service will be operating after Bob leaves, until a permanent dentist is appointed.
Carol Clark of Scilly’s Healthwatch says they encourage islanders to leave their comments about all health and care matters so they can monitor provision and take up any common problems with services.
