Investigations Continue Into Vandalism At Parish Church
Scilly’s police say their investigation into vandalism at St Mary’s Parish Church is continuing and they think they have a lead.
The glass in a notice board was smashed at some point overnight between Sunday and Monday.
Canon Paul Miller says he’s disappointed by the incident. The damage has now been repaired and Paul says someone kindly tidied up the plants, which were ripped up in the Church garden and strewn around the area.
Sergeant Colin Taylor says the police have spoken to a witness who has given a description but he’s also keen to hear from other people who may have seen something.
Colin says he needs evidence and witnesses to be able to solve the crime.
