St Mary’s Lifeboat Called To Yacht Off St Martin’s
Falmouth Coastguard says that the call came from the boat at around 7pm after it suffered engine failure.
The crew were unable to set sail as there was very little wind.
The lifeboat towed the Rhi-Ann into St Mary’s from a position around 4.5 nautical miles off St Martin’s.
There were 3 people on board the stricken vessel.
This evening (Tuesday) islanders and visitors will be able to board the lifeboat when the RNLI volunteers take it to New Grimsby on Tresco and then Bryher’s Church Quay.
