St Mary’s Restaurant Gets Its Own Beer
Juliet’s Garden is launching their own pale ale, produced specially by the Cornish Padstow Brewing Company, which will supplement pints from their existing local supplier.
Owner Juliet May says she enquired about getting her own label while sampling the beers on a recent visit to the mainland.
She says she’s delighted with the result and the strapline on the label, which reads, “Fabulous Brew, Fabulous View.”
Juliet has been experimenting with different branded produce this year.
In the spring the restaurant started selling sticks of rock, which Juliet thinks is a first for St Mary’s, following a suggestion from her chef, Andrew O’ Connor.
She says she spent time travelling around “some wonderful northern seaside towns” investigating rock makers before finally deciding on a supplier.
Juliet says they’ve been selling very well.
