RNLI Press Officer Steve Watt says The Whiteheads, under the command of Stuart Hitchens, was called out at approximately midday to the White Dolphin, a 55-foot ketch.

The patient is thought to have sustained spinal and head injuries after falling between decks.

He was then transferred to the lifeboat where he was winched up to the RNAS Culdrose helicopter.

Falmouth Coastguard understands that he’s a French national. A second crewmember was taken on board the chopper to translate.

The patient and colleague were then transferred to Treslike Hospital.
