It was the sort of summer day that you dream about in the winter. Tresco/Bryher visited St. Martin’s for a 25 over match on Sunday 7th June.

St. Martin’s won the toss and asked the visitors to bat first. They got off to a shaky start with their opening pair being bowled out cheaply. But then D. Brown came to the crease and stayed there, scoring 64 not out, when the visitors had used their 25 overs with a total of 145 for 5, including a very sharp run out due to quick fielding by J. Benson.

St. Martin’s could only manage 69 all out in reply; 6 of the home team not disturbing the scorers; J. Benson top scored with44.

The visitors’ bowling was deadly; A. Way took 4 wickets and D. Brown 3.
