Woman Airlifted To Mainland After Peninnis Fall

rnas culdrose helicopter 3A woman has been airlifted to hospital after falling off the rocks at Peninnis this lunchtime.

The Royal Navy helicopter was dispatched to St Mary’s after the Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 12.55pm.

Falmouth Coastguard were coordinating the rescue of the woman, who had fallen 20 feet from a rocky outcrop.

The woman, said to be in her 40s, was medically evacuated on the RNAS Culdrose helicopter to Plymouth’s Derriford Hospital with head and spinal injuries.
