Sunday Harbour Update From St Mary’s Harbour


· A record week coming up with the following ships

Saturday Azores (16144gt) and Le Soleal (10700gt)

Sunday Serenissima (2598gt)

Monday Ocean Diamond (8282gt), Serenissima departs

Tuesday Corinthian (4077gt) and Sea Adventurer (4376gt

Thursday Explorer (6130gt)


· Work to complete the concrete around the receipt frame will continue overnight tonight. It is hoped this will be finished over the next two evenings

· The Stemat barge has arrived back in the Islands carrying the first load of blocks to be fitted upon completion of the receipt frame fitting. The barge will remain on a mooring at Nut Rock until such time the blocks are required

· The Jack Up Barge has now moved back into its working position after standing down for gig weekend. It is currently being used to direct the air lift and concrete pumps into place during the fitting of the receipt frame

· The tugs Polmear and Vulcan remain within the Harbour

· Temporary Moorings – As a reminder, Kier have installed 2 temporary moorings at Nut Rock and one at Innisidgen. Both the moorings at Nut Rock have strops attached


· Balcony – The steel work for the balcony is near completion and is due for delivery as per the latest schedule

· Freight/ticket office –The temporary freight/ticket office and additional check in window are working well. The temporary office will move slightly in position soon to make way for the base of the new chiller store. Work to break out this area has started and will continue this week.

· The waiting room has now been closed off to allow Kier to carry out works in this area. While this work is undertaken the retail unit at the southern end of the building has been opened for use as a waiting area. Please continue to use the shed for storing (off Island) items as usual.
