Culdrose Land In Scilly Ahead Of Cruise Ship Medivac

The RNAS Culdrose helicopter has just landed on St Mary’s Airport. (10.15pm Bank Holiday Monday).

It is refuelling in Scilly before heading to a cruise ship approximately 200 miles south west of the islands to pick up an unwell, elderly man. The passenger is on board the Royal Princess which is 190 nautical miles from her destination of Cobh in Ireland. Falmouth Coastguard is coordinating the rescue.
