Scilly Army Cadets Update

Captain Tony Smith has offered Radio Scilly an update on the Army Cadets activities on the islands.

Tony says "last weekend we had 22 cadets fly over to RAF St. Mawgan on Friday afternoon for continuation training.
This was to top up on their last trip, with an assessment to test their knowledge retention on Sunday afternoon.
Because of the fog, the kids were stranded and spent most of day, ferrying between Newquay airport to Lands end, eventually getting home on the Scillonian yesterday".

Tony wants to add a big thank you to Tess Lloyd and Liza Howells, who went over to escort the cadets back on the Scillonian. It was a great help.

"The next trip away for all of our new recruits, this is At the end of May over the Bank holiday," Tony says.
