Island Clothing Company Wins Cornwall Show Contract

49 degreesA Scilly-based clothing retailer has secured a prestigious contract for one of the west’s biggest events.

49 Degrees of Hugh Town will be the official merchandise provider for the Royal Cornwall Show.

Georgia May says she’s very proud of the deal, which has been in the pipeline for a while.

The organisers of the event know and like the company’s IoS brand. And it shows that our geographic location doesn’t have to be a barrier to trade.

Georgia says the design style will be similar to that found in the Scilly store but will feature different map coordinates.

The team in Scilly will provide children and adult sized t-shirts and polo shirts for the show.

They’ll go on sale online and from 49 Degrees before the local team travel to sell the clothing at the event in Wadebridge.

Georgia says even though June is a busy time for the Hugh Town shop, this was too good an opportunity to turn down.

And she hopes that the quality and appearance of the clothing will bring deals from other regional shows and events.
