Hell Bay Hotel Preparing For ‘Tourism Oscars’

hell bay hotelStaff and management at Hell Bay Hotel are hoping they’ll win a tourism ‘Oscar’ on 11th May.

The Bryher business has been selected for the national VisitEngland awards finals in Newcastle from a list of regional winners.

Hell Bay has already taken the gold at the South West Tourism Excellence competition at Weston-super-Mare in February.

Manager Philip Callan’s team has made it to the finals of these major awards previously. Last May they came fourth in England in the Small Hotel of The Year category and Hell Bay Hotel was ‘Highly Commended’ by judges.

They are the only finalist in this group from Scilly and Cornwall. They will be up against the Brockencote Hall Hotel in Kidderminster, Cedar Manor in Windermere, The Horn of Plenty from Tavistock, Mallory Court in Warwickshire and North Yorkshire’s Talbot Hotel for the Gold, Silver, Bronze or Highly Commended title.

The hotel has been recognised consistently and won the Cornish Small Hotel title in 2013 and 2014.
