TIC Visitor Services Coordinator- Islands’ Partnership

The I.P is recruiting a Visitor Services Coordinator- an accomplished professional who will provide strong leadership to the Tourist Information Team.

You will be expected to challenge existing operational practices, proactively suggesting improvements that have the ability to deliver improved customer service, and in turn deliver a greater degree of customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the Tourist Information Centre including staffing, the quality of information on offer, the management of budgets, statistical reporting and critically in increasing revenue via a range of mechanisms that you will be expected to develop.
The successful candidate will bring strategic, practical and financial insight to the role of Visitor Services Coordinator, leading the way in ensuring that the provision of information on offer to visitors to Scilly is delivered in a manner that is both engaging and reflects the unique nature of the Scillonian visitor experience. You will be expected to forge new relationships with local businesses, key delivery partners.

You will need to be a consummate communicator and have a history of working both within the tourism industry and within the sphere of the delivery of information services.

The role is 37hrs a week on a Fixed Term Contract to 31.03.17. £18,000 per annum.
