Landlady Emma Butcher arranged for customers at the Hugh Town pub to join in with around seventy other licensed premises across Cornwall and Scilly in singing the Cornish anthem, the hymn ‘Trelawney.’

The 9pm singing session marked St Piran’s Day – the Cornish patron saint.

The event was backed by St Austell Brewery and included participation from Cornishmen and women in a London pub.

It was a fundraiser for the Cornish Community Foundation. The charity supports work to improve education, physical and mental health and relieve poverty and sickness in Scilly and Cornwall.
