Scilly’s School Seeking A New Governor

school 2 2014The Five Islands School is looking to recruit a new governor, and they’d prefer someone who can bring legal, human resources or financial skills to the board.

The school says the successful candidate will need to be passionate about securing the best outcomes for Scilly’s children and be willing to commit the time to it.

This vacancy is for a co-opted position, after Duncan Graham resigned due to other commitments.

The composition of the board changed before Christmas when Canon Paul Miller was appointed to the Foundation Governor role previously held by Keith Grossett.

Suzy Taylor took up the parent governor position that became vacant after Lindsay Rodgers’ term of service ended.

The other governors, appointed following the governing body reconstitution last summer, are Sarah Whittaker, Heather Terry, Carol Hicks, Chairman Ben Julian and Head Teacher Linda Todd.

If you’d like to apply you should contact Ben Julian and you will need to undertake a DBS check.
