Scilly Praised In Newspaper Articles

porthcressa beach newScilly has received praise in two newspapers over the weekend.

In the Sunday Telegraph’s travel section, writer Jon Stock recommended Tresco as a place for winter breaks.

He came over on the Scillonian III in October and suggests Tresco for “a great half-term family break.” His piece warns that “the plane is very susceptible to poor weather out of season” but that “the hit-and-miss nature of the journey” is very much part of the holiday.

And readers of Toronto’s Globe and Mail newspaper have been advised to consider the “shimmering Isles of Scilly” in an article listing the best destinations on the planet.

Journalist John Lee writes that Scilly’s beaches “echo” those of southern Europe and are just a short hop on a boat or plane from Cornwall.
