A national newspaper is claiming that Scilly’s social care funding for the over-65s has been more than halved.

The Daily Express refers to Department of Health data, which reveals 94 out of 152 councils have cut spending per person since 2010.

Scilly’s spending is down 56%. Next in the list is Redcar in the North East, down 46%.

We contacted the Council on Tuesday for their comment but they haven’t responded.
