police landrover backSt Mary’s Police have made their seventh arrest related to alleged drink driving so far this year.

An island resident, aged in his 30s, was questioned late on Saturday night. PC Mat Crowe called at the man’s home address at around 11.30pm.

Sergeant Colin Taylor says the arrest followed the discovery of vehicle debris in the road.

The man was breathalysed and accompanied PC Crowe to the Police Station, where a blood sample was taken.

That’s being sent to the mainland for analysis and Colin says the result shouldn’t be delayed by the holiday period.
