Police Seek Information On Damaged St Mary’s Cars

police landrover backSt Mary’s Police are looking for witnesses to vehicle damage. At the end of last week two cars were scratched whilst parked on the island.

Sergeant Colin Taylor says it could be misleading to reveal where the cars are normally kept overnight and the owners aren’t sure where the damage was done, as they’ve only just noticed it.

He says the marks can’t be passed off as accidental and it would appear that the vandal has made a concerted effort to scratch the paintwork.

Colin says there have been a “fair smattering“ of these incidents reported to police this year and he is urging islanders with any information to contact the policing team.
