Council Road Closures Taking Place

The Council will be closing some stretches of road on St Mary’s over the next fortnight to carry out work to improve the Lower Moors drainage and prevent flooding at Porthloo.

Part of the work, being carried out in collaboration with the Duchy, involves putting in new pipes across the road at Porthloo, close to the entrances to Rocky Hill and Mount Flagon.

The road between the Rocky Hill Junction and Porthloo Lane was closed off yesterday and will remain shut today. Diversions will require drivers to travel along Juliet’s Hill until the 27th November.

Today and tomorrow, the 25th and 26th November, Jackson’s Hill is closed and between the 4th and 6th December the Mount Flagon to Porthloo Lane will be closed.
