St Mary’s Road Closure – 3rd September 2014

Lagan Construction has just contacted Radio Scilly about this afternoon’s road closure. Sorry for the short notice.

Road resurfacing – Telegraph Road

Please be advised that works on Telegraph road will continue today, Wednesday, after the

last bus has passed at around 2:15 pm. The resurfacing works will continue from the previously laid surface working towards Hugh Town, passing the junction for High Lane and proceeding to Longstone Corner. Work will require the rolling closure of this road and will continue until 7:30 – 8:00 pm tonight after which the road will be reopened fully.

On Thursday morning works will commence at around 07:30 and continue to around 11:00am when the road will be re-opened for the tourist buses.

On Wednesday – from 2 pm to 8 pm for journeys to and from Hugh Town – Mc Farland’s Down please pass either via Porthloo or the Eastern side of the island and Pungies Lane

On Thursday – from 8 am to 11 am – for journeys to & from Hugh Town – Mc Farland’s Down route as above.
