Plans Approved For Porthloo Property Renovations

wesleyan chapel 2The owner of a Porthloo property has made a break with recent planning trends and asked to replace their uPVC windows with wooden ones.

It’s part of a plan to renovate Newfort House, including building a small kitchen extension and recladding an existing extension with cedar.

The interior of the residential accommodation with an attached self-catering annexe will also be reconfigured allowing separate entrances for owners and guests.

Senior Manager for Planning, Craig Dryden, said the changes would significantly improve the character and appearance of the traditional granite building.

He recommended it for approval and councillors agreed.
