Council Helps Fund Cost Of Aggy Fest Marquee

aggy fest poster 2014The Council has awarded £200 towards the cost of tomorrow’s 12-hour music and entertainments event on St Agnes.

Rob Seddon, who is organising the second Aggy Fest, asked for the donation from the Community Fund to help cover the cost of marquee hire.

St Agnes councillor Richard McCarthy told the Policy and Resources Committee that the charitable event would raise money for the Cornwall Air Ambulance and the Island Hall.

All members agreed the grant.

Last year £5,000 was raised for the hall from ticket, food and bar sales.

Cllr Steve Sims joked that the tent hire donation was “worth it on the basis that it will guarantee it doesn’t rain.”
