Offloading Of Airport Runway Aggregate: Update Saturday July 19th PM

The River Trader has brought over materials for the airport resurfacing work and has been off-loaded today.

St Mary’s Harbourmaster, Dale Clark, says that a second vessel, the Martin, will arrive at 08:00 Sunday morning and then will anchor in the Roads. Discharge will not take place until Monday afternoon once the Scillonian III has sailed.

This movement of material from the quay up to the Airport works site will take place through the night. The River Martin will then be at anchor during the day on Monday.

Dale expects the discharge of stone to be completed on Tuesday evening. The Gry Maritha will not berth on Monday at 18:00 but will arrive at 06:00 on Tuesday morning instead to discharge freight as normal, he says.
