Fire Service Gets Two Call-outs In An Hour

fire station signSt Mary’s fire fighters had two call outs within one hour yesterday.

In their first shout, just after 4pm, some young people called 999 with concerns over a bonfire on Porthloo hill. The situation was under control and the fire service control room in Truro told us it was considered a false alarm.

Minutes later, you might have heard the fire station siren again. It wasn’t an actual incident but an alarm caused by building work at St Mary’s airport.
