Harbour Operations Update June 16th

St Mary’s Harbourmaster Dale Clark has sent Radio Scilly and Scilly Today this update.

Landing Craft ‘Arromanches’ paid a visit early this morning. She is now on her return leg to Newlyn. We do not know of her next voyage at this time.

The second bay of concrete for the new wave wall is being poured today, some 42t should be in place by 17.00.

The ‘River Trader’ is now at anchor within St Mary’s Roads and we are making steps to unload her this evening as soon as the BBS chaps have finished their concrete pour.

An inspector has arrived to check and sign off the removal of asbestos on the Harbourside building. He should have completed his work by the end of the day and the polythene can then be removed.
