If you live on the off-islands you’ll have a chance to share your healthcare experiences with the group that represents patient interests.

Scilly’s Healthwatch organisation is on a summer tour next week.

Manager Carol Clarke says she wants islanders to “bend her ear” about health and social care services. There’ll also be a box in which anonymous comments can be posted.

Healthwatch has built up a resource of contacts and Carol has details of where to get specialist advice and support for a range of conditions.

She’ll have some new handouts from Outlook South West, who offer counselling services.

Carol says Healthwatch staff will also be giving out their updated essential numbers list and their practical guide on travelling to mainland hospital sites.

The roadshow takes in Bryher’s Island Hall on Tuesday between 11am and 1.45pm. On Wednesday they’ll visit St Agnes Reading Room between 1pm and 3pm and Friday’s destination between 11am and 1.45pm is the St Martin’s Reading Room.

A Tresco date will be confirmed soon.
