Roadworks And Airport Update For 5th And 6th June

In continuation of the delivery of aggregates for these projects the dates for the next offloading and transport of these materials will be Thursday 5th and Friday 6th June.

Lagan Construction anticipate that a further load will be due on Tuesday 10th June. The exact details will be confirmed nearer the date.

It is proposed to off load the first cargo during the period from 5:30 pm Thursday evening until 9 am Friday morning. Every effort will be made to offload the cargo in one night but it is possible that the off-loading may have to continue on Friday night from 6 pm onwards if required.

The route will be the same as previous times starting from the Quay, via Hugh Street, Church Street, the Old School, Telegraph Road, Parting Carn Farm and to the site. The return journey will be the same with the empty trailers passing along the Strand rather than Church Street.

During the initial stages of the off -loading a second excavator will be used to speed up the process to try to achieve this in one night. As the vessel contains the same amount of materials and the trailer sizes are the no different to what was used before then there will be the same number of trailer loads.

Please note that start of the discharge may vary slightly as it is dependent on the arrival of the MV River Trader at the quay.

Lagan Construction Ltd sincerely apologises for any disturbance this essential operation causes and thanks you in advance for your co-operation and forbearance. Please contact us on 07825 167569 if there are any problems during this work.

The St Mary’s Runway Resurfacing Project is part financed by the European Regional Development Fund Programme 2007 to 2013 and the Regional Growth Fund.
