steamship company signThe Steamship Company has appointed a staff member to act as a passenger liaison when bad weather disrupts Skybus or Scillonian III services.

Honor Burrows has spent that last 22 years working in the USA, mainly in the Seattle area.

She worked in the travel industry there but knows the islands well. She was born and raised in Scilly.

Honor says she’s delighted by the challenge of her new role as Operations Co-Ordinator and she’s looking forward to starting on Monday.

The company say Honor has been appointed to ensure passengers have a good journey experience. She’ll be the main point of contact on the islands to deal with issues relating to customer service.
