tresco wallpaperThe Landlord of the New Inn says renovation work has uncovered interesting aspects of the pub’s past.

Robin Lawson says they are over halfway through the remodelling of the residents’ reception, bar and lounges and it has been a “big job.”

Builders have taken out some walls and taken down ceilings, and that’s revealed former decoration, almost like a time capsule.

The lime-green 70’s wallpaper has, in particular, brought reaction from locals and visitors on the pub’s Facebook page.

The refurbishment will be completed in early to mid March, when the first guests of the season are due to stay there.
