Weekend Storm Latest For Scilly

The Council say that the latest information from the Environment Agency indicates that the storm surges may be marginally less than originally anticipated for Friday, Saturday and Sunday; but slightly higher than predicted on Monday morning, with an expected peak tide height of 6.4 metres. They have explained that as the wind is coming from varying directions, the energy of the waves are not expected to be quite as bad as the last storms at New Year. However, the Council recommend that people remain vigilant.
