Christmas Tree Recycling Available On St Mary’s

The Town Hall

St Mary’s residents can take their Christmas trees for recycling today.

They can be deposited at the back of the Town Hall and the Old Town Inn car park.

Director of Place Craig Dryden says they’re being taken to Moorwell, where they’ll be broken down and composted. The material will then be used on some of the Council green spaces.

You have until Friday to make use of the service.

The Council ask that you remove all decorations before leaving a tree. That’s not always happened in previous years and trees have been left still dressed with tinsel and baubles.
