Free Relaxation Sessions Offered To Stressed Islanders

ro bennettA St Mary’s resident says she’s prepared to offer islanders a first relaxation therapy session for free because people here have been so stressed recently.

Ro Bennett says the changes at the Council, hospital and school as well as travel issues have taken their toll on locals and she’s starting a business offering de-stress sessions.

Ro has already provided free ‘reconnective healing’ tasters to around a hundred islanders as she’s assessed whether the practice works.

Clients relax on a couch and she doesn’t touch them, but moves her hands above them, as she feels that channels energy.

It’s attracted controversy when mainland practitioners made medical claims. Ro doesn’t make those claims but says she feels that being given the chance to unwind boosts wellbeing.

And she says the feedback so far has been good with most people reporting feeling calmer and more relaxed after the trial sessions.

Ro has attended workshops on the practice in London and is set to travel to the capital for more guidance later this month.
