Investigation Into Water Taste At Porthmellon

tapInvestigations continue into why the water tastes unpleasant at Porthmellon.

The Council, who provide the water supply on both St Mary’s and Bryher, has collected samples. It follows complaints from workers at the Authority’s offices on the industrial estate.

Director of Place, Craig Dryden said some staff have raised concerns over some very off-tasting water. But no other reports have been received from any other businesses in the area.

He suspects that the problem is caused by plumbing or an appliance in the staff office at Moorwell.

While tests continue, some staff have chosen to bring bottled water to work.
