The Islands’ new tourism management partnership, the Islands’ Partnership, is seeking an Administrative
Assistant to assist and provide robust administrative support to a small but dedicated team

of professionals working to develop the islands’ tourism industry to its full potential. The

Administrative Assistant will play a key role in facilitating the day to day running of the office, freeing

up other members of staff so that they are better able to respond to the needs of members whilst

developing and exploring new services and opportunities for the benefit of the industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling day to day enquiries and will for many
individuals be the first point of contact with the Islands’ Partnership. The ability to remain

professional at all times is therefore essential. Day to day tasks will include general administrative

duties, record keeping, support for the delivery of a range of membership benefits, as well as

particular responsibility for the facilitation of a wide range of press visits across the islands.

The role would suit a person who has excellent organisational skills and is accomplished in being able
to prioritize work in what is a busy and demanding environment. A good knowledge of Microsoft

Applications (Word, Excel & Access) and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) will

be essential. The ability to work as part of a close knit team is intrinsic to this role.

Ideally the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate knowledge of recent developments
within the field of tourism in Scilly and a strong understanding of the visitor environment across all
