Unusual Record Breaker Staying On Islands

chris strunamWe’ve got a World Record holder staying in Scilly this week.

Chris Sturman was a West Yorkshire fire fighter when he gained a Guinness entry in 2006 for the unusual sport of table wrestling.

He managed to complete eleven and a half rotations up and over an office table in one minute.

Chris, who’s staying at Evergreen Cottage, trained for 18 months for the feat, which still hasn’t been beaten, despite a number of attempts. And that means his title remains in the 2014 edition of the records book

Unfortunately, Chris says he won’t be offering any displays during his holiday here on the islands, and now aged 57, he limits his exercise to jogging.
