Sea Shanty Singers Raise Lifeboat Money in Scilly

The sea shanty singers, the Tavy Tars, came to Scilly on the Scillonian III last month and sung on both legs of the journey. They also performed to a crowd outside Seasalt and raised £281.57 for the RNLI.
Member Rob Smith says they look forward to returning to sing again next year and in the meantime some of the group will be returning to support their local gig club – Tamar and Tavy- in the 2014 World Pilot Gig Championships.
