Islands’ Steam Band To Play Hall For Cornwall

steam bandThe islands’ longest established rock group The Steam Band are used to performing in front of local crowds.

They’ll be taking to the stage at Aggy Fest on St Agnes on Saturday and again on Sunday week at the Garrison Sport and Music festival. They’ve also taken their music to the Penzance Golowan Festival previously but never played Truro’s biggest venue.

That will change on 17th January when the group support Ben Waters at the Hall for Cornwall.

Terry Ward says band members have formed a friendship with Ben and he personally requested their place on the bill.

Terry says he’s excited to be playing a venue that he’s visited many times to watch other acts performing.

He hopes to get support from islanders and friends and family on the mainland, and says the Steamship Company may need to put on additional flights.
