Work To Improve Moorwell Path Starts Next Week

town hall windows signWork begins next week to improve sections of the Moorwell path.

Parts of the path were resurfaced last year, but the Council will now be laying a new footpath near the incinerator access road as well smoothing out other sections.

It’s hoped it will provide easier and safer access to the school for pedestrians and cyclists in time for the new term in September.

A spokesperson for the Council said the work will begin on Monday and be finished by the end of the week, weather permitting.

It will be undertaken by the Council’s Direct Labour Force.

The intention is to keep the pathway open for as much as possible, but closure will be necessary for periods when machinery is being used and also to allow the concrete to be laid.

Access to the incinerator entrance won’t be affected.
