quay incident June 2013 4The Independent Police Complaints Commission has confirmed it has started an investigation into the events that led up to the death of a man who fell from his yacht on St Mary’s Quay.

The 62-year-old Dutch national was aboard the Windrose when it was boarded by officers from the Border Force on 17th June.

The man died later in Treliske hospital.
