Lifeboat Called To French Vessel

lifeboat 2The newly returned St Mary’s lifeboat, RNLB The Whiteheads, was launched at 8.25am this morning to help a French fishing vessel.

The Panamera, a 21m vessel, has been taking on water, which its now knee deep in the engine room.

All her systems were closed down and they wanted the lifeboat’s salvage pump to help get rid of the water. The crew are not in immediate danger.

They’re 23 miles north west of the islands and the lifeboat should be at the location in less than an hour.

Falmouth Coastguard says sea conditions are fine today.
