Tresco Beach Featured In Upmarket Travel Mag

Tresco's Pentle Bay

Tresco’s Pentle Bay

Pentle Bay on Tresco has once again been named in up-market Condé Nast Traveller magazine as one of the best beaches in Britain.

It’s described as “almost tropical” with white sand and intensely blue sea, and a great spot for collecting shells.

Tresco Estate’s Marketing Manager, Alasdair Moore, says it’s fabulous that Pentle Beach has been chosen again, but it could have been any number of beaches around the islands, including several on St Martin’s, he says.

Condé Nast magazine is targeted at the more well-heeled travellers, but Alasdair says Tresco actually attracts a whole cross-section of people, particularly out of the peak summer weeks.

It’s easy to get “a bit hung up” on how many extra bookings articles like this generate, but it’s certainly good for Tresco and the islands as a whole, he says.

Ps. Decided to take chance out of it and have respectfully emailed the Prince,s office today, 9/7/13 and asked for backing and support for a Helicopter facility. If there are any support campaigns going off, please contact me and count me in.

Hey, too right! You can keep the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, the airport delays, the crime, All things considered here,s no where else on earth like the Isles of Scilly,
The beaches, food, people I have met on 11 visits have provided us with precious memories. I,ve only been home a week after staying in the Tower on the Garrison Holidays site i,ve just booked again in 7 weeks time.
Every day there is something new to do and if only EMI had filmed our holidays, we would be millionaires by now.
Boating around the islands in rough seas in an 11ft 6″ inflatable with no experience used to make Indiana Jones films look tame, and watching the sun go down with a bottle of red wine from Juliet,s tea garden makes you feel like you are richer then Sir Alan Sugar.
Keep the continent, keep your stressful job from The Apprentice, we have found true beauty and wealth.
Ps. Prince Charles, with respect if you get to read this, you know i,m right, please can you sort out a helicopter to help the tourism industry provide these very special people and islands with a life style they deserve.
    Thank you in anticipation.
    Kind regards,
